The original owner of the property was Cornelia A. Hill, a pioneer in the city. In 1905, J. Alfred Kimberly, co-founder of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, purchased the property. The property was a place of joy and celebration for the Kimberly family, and the holiday season was particularly spectacular.
