Oak Glen Preserve

If you’re looking for a great place to visit in San Bernardino County, California, you might want to visit Oak Glen Preserve. This 909-acre nature preserve is managed by the Wildlands Conservancy. It is located at 39611 Oak Glen Rd, Yucaipa, CA 92399. There are many places to visit in Yucaipa, but this one in particular is well worth a visit.
The preserve is also surrounded by apple orchards. The area is 909 acres and offers a view of southern California’s wildlife. In the fall, the colorful leaves of the trees add to the beauty of the park. There are several hiking trails within the preserve. There is even a farm store for those who aren’t into hiking. It’s a great place to go with children, as it offers plenty of opportunities for active play.

If you’re a beginner in botany and plant identification, you can start by learning about plant families. Most flowering plants at Oak Glen belong to eight families, so knowing their key characteristics will help you identify the species in your garden. This will make identification easier. Learn about the plants that live in the San Bernardino Mountains, including the California Tree Trail. You can also bring your dog, which is welcome on trails throughout the preserve.

Located in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, the Oak Glen Preserve offers family-friendly hiking trails through picturesque areas. Combine your trip to the preserve with a visit to the Los Rios Ranch for some local fresh produce. You’ll be amazed by the freshness and beauty of the land and the surrounding area. In fact, this preserve is one of the most beautiful and peaceful preserves in Southern California.

You can also experience the beautiful landscapes in the nearby Los Rios Rancho, which is Southern California’s largest apple ranch. This historic apple farm was saved from development more than 20 years ago by the Wildlands Conservancy. The farm has many farm-related activities, including seasonal fruit picking, country dances, and delicious food. It’s best to visit during spring and fall, especially the fall, when the apples are in season.

The Oak Glen Preserve YucaipA CA is located in Orange County, so if you’re driving from Orange County, take the 10 or 91 freeway toward Palm Springs. From there, take Live Oak Canyon Road and then turn left at the first traffic light. Continue on until you reach Los Rios Rancho, where you’ll see a red apple-shaped sign.
